Fix Corrupted Barcodes

Please follow the below steps to fix the corrupted barcodes -

Step 1: Extract the barcodes from scanner

Kindly follow the instructions from the below link to extract the data from your scanner -

http://help.activitybarcoding.com/default.asp?W10999

Step 2: Fix the corrupted barcodes in the extracted file

Some or all of the scans in the extracted file might be corrupted. Corrupted scans indicate that either the date or the time of the scan is in invalid format. The date should be in the format mm/dd/yy and the time should be within 12 hours or 24 hours format.

You can see some examples of corrupted scans highlighted in yellow in the below screenshot.

Kindly update the date and time of the corrupted scans as required in the extracted file and save the file. Please note that both date and time in the extracted file will be 10 hours behind the actual date and time when the barcode was scanned. This will be updated once the scan is uploaded to ABC. Therefore, update the date and/or time of the corrupted scans accordingly (i.e. 10 hours behind the intended time) and save the corrected file.

For example, the below scan in the extracted file will be displayed in ABC for 22/09/2018 at 9:21:54 AM.

Step 3: Upload the corrected barcodes file into ABC

Kindly follow the instructions from the below link to upload the corrected barcodes file into ABC -

http://help.activitybarcoding.com/default.asp?W13225

Once Step 3 is completed, wipe the data from the scanner by following the steps in the below link
